Stachys is 2.33m tall x 2.33m wide. The sculpture is about bamboo and considers a characteristic unique to bamboo: that each type has a life cycle which means that once the cycle is complete, the entire species flowers, produces huge quantity of seeds and then dies, to grow again from the seed.
