Fledge; Increments of Flight are a group of four sculptures about stages or snapshots in a journey or flight, a liminal journey from one state of consciousness to another. They rotate in the wind on concealed bearings and are influenced by the botanical forms of wind dispersed winged seeds or samara, as well as the wings of birds and fins of fish and all that propels. The metaphorical 4 stages in a journey are corners of a square or a linear journey. 2010
