At midwinter solstice in 2018 there was a full moon which illuminated the area around Stonehenge and revealed hundreds of people all traveling to the monument to celebrate the occasion. People have always migrated around the world, fleeing from trouble and towards hope.
Vermeer are a series of curved glass wall reliefs whose reflective surface refracts the environment so that the viewer’s perception switches between examining the image and the reflection.
Vermeer 9 represents a full moon solstice journey, observing people arriving from all directions. 2018
